Cynthia Erivo's 3D Blooming Mani at the 2024 Tony Awards

Celebrity nail artist Rose Hackle brought bold and vibrant designs to life on "Wicked" star Cynthia Erivo’s fingertips at this year's Tony Awards, creating a nail look that incorporated 3D flowers and Swarovski crystals directly onto her nails. A true work of art, Rose completed the nails using shades from the new OPI My Me Era and Your Way collections.

Cynthia Erivo: Get the Look

• Step 1: Fully remove previous nail set. 
• Step 2: Apply sculpted stickers and sculpted acrylic base to an XXL stiletto shape and length. 
• Step 3: Buff nails smooth and apply OPI GelColor Stay Strong Base Coat to each nail. After each nail is painted, place under OPI’s Star Light Gel Lamp. 
  • For Nail Lacquer version use OPI Natural Nail Base Coat.
• Step 4: ​After the acrylic base, apply OPI Your Way shades in $elf Made, Taurus-t Me, and Without A Pout using an airbrush. 
  • For Nail Lacquer version use OPI $elf Made, Taurus-t Me, and Without a Pout.
• Step 5: With a dotting tool and blooming gel, apply colors to create a nice psychedelic effect to play off of the 3D flowers.
• Step 6: Mold 3D flowers using sculpting hard gel and paint colorful accents using OPI shades in (Bee)FFR & Apricot AF, on top to bring the flower to life and tie it in with the rest of the set.
  • For Nail Lacquer version, use OPI (Bee)FFR & Apricot AF.
• Step 7: Finally, apply 3D accents using a medium viscosity charm glue and green and pink Swarovski stones to make the end result pop.
• Step 8: Apply one coat of OPI GelColor Stay Shiny Top Coat and OPI Nail & Cuticle Oil to complete the set. 
  • For the nail lacquer version, use OPI Top Coat.
